Purpose #
I created this blog for two reasons:
1. Sharing knowledge #
I often find myself sharing the same things to different people across multiple chats. Instead of copy-pasting links along with my commentary scattered everywhere, I figured it'd be easier to write it down once and share a single URL.
This way, I can consolidate my notes on a topic into something (hopefully) clear and convincing, making it simpler for everyone involved.
2. Contributing back #
When I'm researching topics (especially niche or very specific ones), I often get a lot of value from posts on personal blogs like this one. They either present information in a digestible form with useful comparisons and conclusions, or they provide the quickest way to get up to speed on something new. They also often don't try to push some proprietary product, which is nice.
I benefit from those types of posts regularly. I'm not sure if my posts will be useful for anyone, but this blog is my way of contributing back to that ecosystem.
Topics and cadence #
There's no rhyme or reason to when posts appear.
I also don't follow any particular topics - I'll try and tag posts with relevant tags, though.
Tech used #
This blog uses Hugo and is deployed on Cloudflare Workers.
